1 . Surfing
Cerritos Beach is known for its great surfing conditions, making it a popular spot for both experienced and beginner surfers. There are several surf schools and rental shops available nearby, all of which provide surf lessons.
2. Swimming
While the waves are optimal for surfing, it is also known as the only true swimmable beach in the entire area. Kids and adults can comfortably play, swim, and boogie board in the shallow waters and smaller waves closer to the sand. The beach is also family-friendly with plenty of space for sunbathing, sand castle building, and relaxing.
3. Whale watching
From December to April, visitors to Cerritos Beach can enjoy the amazing experience of whale watching. It's a great opportunity to see humpback whales, gray whales, and other marine life up close. The breaching whales are easily visible from the shore, but surfers and paddleboarders can get much closer to the action.
